Synopsis in English

The story of The Lord of the Rings : The Fellowship of the Ring begins with the story of how a hobbit named Bilbo Baggins of The Shire, has wandered into Misty Mountain and met with Gollum who has been living in a cave in the mountain for 500 years. Bilbo stole rings belonging to Gollum and then take her back to The Shire. Without realizing it, these rings have magic powers.

In the birthday-111, Bilbo decided to leave The Shire and Rivendell heading. Bilbo wants to spend his old age with writing a book about his odyssey with a Dwarf looking for treasure in the Lonely Mountain, where there is a dragon that hides beneath her gold jewels. Before his journey, Bilbo's magic ring bequeathed called One Ring to his nephew named Frodo Baggins.

Wizard is also a best friend named Bilbo Frodo Gandalf advised to Mount Doom to destroy it. Destruction of these rings to deter evil Sauron who want control of Middle-Earth. In Moria, they are attacked by Orcs. Orcs are stupid creatures dwarf Sauron who lived in the Forest of Mirkwood to help Sauron control of Middle-Earth. Due to the number of troops Orcs are not balanced by the number of the Fellowship, then they fled to the bridge Khazad-Dum. Unfortunately at the bridge they had been confronted by a giant beast-like monster named Balrog. Gandalf battles the Balrog has fallen into the abyss and disappeared.

Aragorn Gandalf then took over to lead the Fellowship to Mordor. After a trip to the Fellowship in Lothlorien, they met a wise elf named Galadriel. Galadriel provide supplies canoe, biscuits lembas, and glass. Of glass belonging Galadriel, Frodo saw a future where his friend Sam are doomed if still come with him to Mordor. Frodo began to falter on the way, but he still had to destroy the One Ring.

The journey continues through the river Anduin head south. Up in the Fall of Rauros they stopped to rest. When resting, Boromir want to see and hold the One Ring, but Frodo refused and withdrew from Boromir. A sudden collection of Orcs and Uruk Hai attacking the Fellowship. Gimli, Legolas, Aragorn, Boromir and forward facing enemy attacks, while Merry, Pippin, Frodo, and Sam ran to hide themselves, but eventually they were separated while Merry and Pippin captive Orcs forces.

Frodo and Sam managed to escape and sail across the river. While Gimli, Aragorn, and Legolas who successfully defeated the Orcs and Uruk Hai who killed Boromir had to give up on the battlefield. Gimli, Aragorn, and Legolas did last respects to Boromir by putting his body into the boat and let it sail towards the river Anduin, then all three started for four hobbits.

Thus the end of the story of The Lord of the Rings : The Fellowship of the Ring is a trilogy. The breaking up of the Fellowship into the end of the story that will continue in the second book.

Cerita The Lord of the Rings : The Fellowship of the Ring dimulai dengan kisah bagaimana seorang hobbit bernama Bilbo Baggins dari The Shire, telah mengembara ke Misty Mountain dan bertemu dengan Gollum yang telah tinggal di dalam sebuah gua di gunung tersebut selama 500 tahun. Bilbo berhasil mencuri cincin milik Gollum dan kemudian membawanya pulang ke The Shire. Tanpa disadari, cincin tersebut mempunyai kekuatan sakti.

Pada ulang tahunnya yang ke-111, Bilbo memutuskan untuk meninggalkan The Shire dan menuju ke Rivendell. Bilbo ingin menghabiskan masa tuanya dengan menulis buku tentang pengembaraannya dengan seorang Dwarf mencari harta karun di Lonely Mountain, di mana terdapat seekor naga yang menyembunyikan emas permata di bawah badannya. Sebelum melakukan perjalanannya, Bilbo mewariskan cincin sakti yang disebut One Ring kepada keponakannya yang bernama Frodo Baggins.

Seorang Wizard yang juga sahabat Bilbo bernama Gandalf menyarankan Frodo untuk menghancurkannya ke Mount Doom. Penghancuran cincin ini untuk menghalangi niat jahat Sauron yang ingin menguasai Middle-Earth. One Ring dibuat oleh Sauron, Dark Lord dari Mordor, cincin tersebut sesungguhnya digunakan untuk menguasai Middle-Earth dan memperbudak rakyatnya.

Frodo berangkat ke Mount Doom bersama seorang sahabatnya yang bernama Samwise Gamgee. Dalam perjalanan, mereka bertemu dengan Merry dan Pippin yang akhirnya ikut bergabung bersama Frodo dan Sam. Perjalanan para hobbit ini terus dibayangi oleh Black Rider yang merupakan utusan Sauron untuk mengawasi si pemegang cincin.

Ketika sampai di Bree, empat hobbit ini memutuskan untuk beristirahat di The Prancing Pony. Ditempat tersebut mereka bertemu dengan seorang Strider yang bernama Aragorn. Ternyata Strider tersebut adalah utusan Gandalf yang bertugas menemani para hobbit hingga ke Rivendell, tempat penguasa Elf berkuasa dan akan terjadi pertemuan penting antara semua ras penghuni Middle Earth.

Keesokan harinya Strider menemani mereka untuk meneruskan perjalanan ke Rivendell. Pada malam harinya, mereka kembali diserang oleh Black Rider. Frodo terluka dalam serangan itu karena ditikam oleh Black Rider. Dalam kepanikan karena Frodo terluka dan pingsan, tiba-tiba muncul seorang Elf yang bernama Arwen dan membawa Frodo ke Rivendell dengan kudanya.

Black Rider terus mengejar Arwen sampai ke Loudwater River. Saat Black Rider mencoba menyeberangi sungai, Arwen membaca mantra untuk membuat sungai tersebut memukul Black Rider dengan kuat dan membunuh mereka. Setelah berhasil mengalahkan Black Rider, Arwen dan Frodo melanjutkan perjalanan menuju ke Rivendell.

Pada saat yang sama, Gandalf yang terperangkap di puncak Menara Orthanc di Isengard meminta bantuan burung elang raksasa bernama Gwaihir untuk melepaskannya dari tawanan Saruman. Gwaihir membawa Gandalf ke Rivendell. Saat rombongan Aragorn dan para hobbit sampai di Rivendell, Frodo sudah sembuh dari lukanya. Elrond sang pemimpin bangsa Elf sangat kagum pada kekuatan mental Frodo yang sama sekali tidak terpengaruh dengan kekuatan jahat dari One Ring. Sementara itu, seluruh wakil pemimpin dari semua makhluk Middle-Earth berkumpul di Rivendell untuk membahas siapa yang akan membawa One Ring ke Mordor untuk dihancurkan. Saat tidak ada yang bersedia membawanya, tiba-tiba Frodo menawarkan diri untuk membawa One Ring ke Mordor. Maka terpilihlah orang-orang yang akan melakukan perjalanan ke Mordor, yaitu Gimli (Dwarf), Legolas (Elf), Aragorn dan Boromir (Men), Gandalf (Wizard), dan keempat hobit (Frodo, Sam, Merry, dan Pippin). Kesembilan orang tersebut tergabung dalam The Fellowship of The Ring.

Keesokan harinya kesembilan orang tersebut berangkat menuju ke selatan melewati Lothlorien. Untuk sampai ke Lothlorien, mereka harus melintasi Misty Mountain yang saat itu sedang mengalami badai salju dan reruntuhan batu-batuan. Namun akhirnya mereka menyerah pada cuaca dan mengalihkan jalur menuju ke Moria yang merupakan tempat tinggal Dwarf.

Di Moria, mereka diserang oleh Orcs. Orcs adalah manusia kerdil bodoh ciptaan Sauron yang tinggal di Hutan Mirkwood untuk membantu Sauron menguasai Middle-Earth. Karena jumlah pasukan Orcs yang tidak seimbang dengan jumlah The Fellowship, maka mereka melarikan diri ke jembatan Khazad-Dum. Celakanya di jembatan tersebut mereka telah dihadang oleh binatang raksasa yang menyerupai monster bernama Balrog. Pertempuran dengan Balrog menyebabkan Gandalf terjatuh ke dasar jurang dan menghilang.

Aragorn kemudian mengambil alih tugas Gandalf untuk memimpin The Fellowship sampai ke Mordor. Setelah perjalanan The Fellowship sampai di Lothlorien, mereka bertemu dengan seorang peri bijak yang bernama Galadriel. Galadriel memberikan bekal sampan, biskuit lembas, dan kaca. Dari kaca milik Galadriel, Frodo melihat masa depan dimana sahabatnya Sam akan menemui ajalnya jika tetap ikut dengannya ke Mordor. Frodo mulai bimbang pada perjalanannya, namun ia tetap harus menghancurkan One Ring.

Perjalanan berlanjut melewati sungai Anduin menuju ke selatan. Sampai di Fall of Rauros mereka berhenti untuk beristirahat. Saat beristirahat, Boromir ingin melihat dan memegang One Ring, namun Frodo menolaknya dan menyingkir dari Boromir. Tiba-tiba sekumpulan Orcs dan Uruk Hai menyerang The Fellowship. Gimli, Legolas, Aragorn, dan Boromir maju menghadapi serangan musuh, sedangkan Merry, Pippin, Frodo, dan Sam berlari menyembunyikan diri namun akhirnya mereka terpisah sementara Merry serta Pippin menjadi tawanan pasukan Orcs.

Frodo dan Sam berhasil menyelamatkan diri dan berlayar ke seberang sungai. Sementara Gimli, Aragorn, dan Legolas yang berhasil mengalahkan pasukan Orcs dan Uruk Hai harus merelakan Boromir yang tewas di medan perang. Gimli, Aragorn, dan Legolas melakukan penghormatan terakhir kepada Boromir dengan meletakkan mayatnya ke dalam sampan dan membiarkannya berlayar menuju sungai Anduin, kemudian ketiganya mulai mencari keempat hobbit.
